It has become my passion and commitment to provide the best hoof care I can to horses and their owners so that they do not have to struggle finding consistent and effective hoof care like my horse and I did.
If you have been there, then you know the struggle, frustration, and guilt that many owners have experienced. You’re not alone! I’m here to provide help and consistency to horse owners, enthusiasts, and fellow hoof care providers. I have years of experience (since 2012) and have helped countless horses and their owners over the years using my guiding principles and philosophy, as well as having to think outside the box, and of course, learning more!
My trimming journey began by me starting on my horse Jazz. We had recently moved to upstate New York, and I couldn’t find a local barefoot trimmer like we had before in California. We had used a local farrier instead who gave Jazz a pasture trim instead of a natural barefoot trim, and he was incredibly lame afterwards. Through that experience, I realized I needed to learn about hoof care just to be an informed horse owner (I encourage all horse owners to do the same!). I began trimming on my own but was having trouble applying the methodology to my horse’s hooves. A trimmer that lived a couple hours away helped my horse and me by correcting my trim and explaining her method to me. She told me about a great clinic at Daisy Haven Farm that I needed to attend, which I did, and was completely mind blown with everything I learned. Shortly after, I moved to Tucson, AZ and began trimming more horses, reading and learning everything I could about hooves and hoof care. I began developing a hoof care business and an Arabian breeding program, Desert Heritage Arabians, while also attending the University of Arizona, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree with an Equine Emphasis. I graduated in 2018 and also earned the Outstanding Senior Award for my endeavors which was a real honor. My hoof trimming business and breeding program have grown, and I’ve fostered a great reputation locally. I was even featured in an article about entrepreneurs
Now, I am focusing on providing online courses and clinics to help other horse owners, enthusiasts, and fellow trimmers. The better we understand how to care for our horse’s needs, the better lives they lead. By offering courses online and expanding my reach, I am furthering my commitment to improve the lives of as many horses and owners as I can.
